What is Self-determination? Essentially, the right to self-determination is the right of a people to determine their own destiny. In particular, the principle allows a people to choose their own political status and to determine their own form of economic, cultural and social development

The importance of the right lies in the right of people to make a choice. The right to self-determination was an integral element of basic human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Civil liberties are the “basic rights and freedoms guaranteed to individuals as protection from any arbitrary actions or other interference of the government without due process of law.” Simply put, they’re the basic rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution—especially, in the Bill of Rights

Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms we’re all entitled to, no matter what our age, ethnicity, culture, religion or sex.

Internationally, human rights are guaranteed through treaties, customary international law and other sources of international law.

New Zealand is party to 7 core international human rights treaties of the United Nations. By signing up to these instruments, New Zealand has assumed obligations under international law to respect, protect and fulfil the human rights of everyone in New Zealand. This means that the State must refrain from actions that interfere with or curtail the enjoyment of human rights, protect individuals and groups against human rights abuses and take positive action to facilitate the enjoyment of basic human rights.

The Bill of Rights Act 1990 is one of the most important piece of legislation in New Zealand for the promotion and protection of human rights. It sets out to affirm, protect and promote human rights and fundamental freedoms in New Zealand. It also affirms New Zealand’s obligations under the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights.

Twenty-three elderly Norwegian people died after receiving Pfizer vaccines. Thirteen of them have been assessed and common side effects may have contributed to severe reactions in them, according to the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

Norway is a small Northern European country and only about 25,000 people have been vaccinated with Pfizer vaccines. Twenty-three deaths are a large number. But surprisingly, mainstream English-language media did not report the incident immediately, as if they had already reached a consensus. Major US and UK media were obviously downplaying their deaths. Propaganda information is intended to persuade an audience to accept a particular idea or cause, often by using biased material or by stirring up emotions was one of the most powerful tools the Nazis used to consolidate their power and cultivate an “Aryan national community” in the mid-1930s.

Whether or not propaganda was truthful or tasteful was irrelevant to the Nazis. It ought not be decent nor ought it be gentle or soft or humble; it ought to lead to success.” Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf that to achieve its purpose, propaganda must “be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan. As soon as you sacrifice this slogan and try to be many-sided, the effect will piddle away.”

The effects of propaganda are more complex than simple brainwashing, and that Hitler succeeded because many German people shared some of the beliefs that were transmitted through Nazi propaganda.
