THE OFFICIAL FRAMEWORK OF AGENDA 2030 SDG 5 ACHIEVE GENDER IDENTITY ‘TRANSFORMING OUR WORLD ‘LEAVE NO-ONE BEHIND’

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the United Nations in 2015, primarily frames gender through Sustainable Development  (SDG 5): “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”. (Welcome to the United Nations)

The Focus of the Official Text of Agenda 2030 and its Targets (e.g., ending child marriage, FGM, and ensuring economic rights) are specifically aimed at biological females. The terminology within the documents uses the terms  “women and girls” and “men and boys,” without explicit mention of “gender identity” or “sexual orientation” in the original goals or indicators. While the original text is binary, many UN agencies and international bodies have increasingly interpreted the pledge to “Leave No One Behind” (LNOB) as including LGBTQI+ individual (The Shift towards Inclusive ‘Gender Identity)

Groups like UN Women argue that gender equality cannot be achieved without promoting the human rights of people with “diverse sexual orientations and gender identities” (SOGIESC). Strategic Plans include recent  frameworks, such as the UN Women Strategic Plan 2022–2025, have begun including explicit references to gender identity that were absent in the 2015 text

The European Commission has adopted an “LGBTIQ Equality Strategy” through 2030, aligning its regional implementation of the SDGs with protections for gender identity and expression. The move to incorporate “gender identity” into the 2030 Agenda has met with significant pushback from various Member States and civil society groups however they are still supporting the Global Agenda

Pushing “gender ideology” through the UN system overrides the sovereignty of Member States and uses international development goals to enforce specific social values. Certain feminist perspectives suggest that shifting focus away from biological women toward a broader “gender identity” lens may dilute the specific progress needed for women’s rights, such as land ownership and reproductive health

We believe the very questions and definitions used to illustrate a gross overstepping of your mandate. The terms ‘gender’ & ‘gender equality’ are common terms used throughout the UN System and in multiple UN documents and resolutions adopted by consensus by UN Member States to advance the equality of women and girls and were never intended to advance this highly controversial transgender polies.

The American College of Pediatricians calls ‘Gender Dysphoria’ a mental disorder in which an individual experiences distress over a deeply felt desire or belied that he or she is the opposite sex. When the dysphoria is severe enough to cause a child to assist on amputating their sex organs, without question, this should be considered a mental disorder.

Among the many facts which make it impossible to support ‘gender identity’ policies is the fact that where gender confusion affirming policies are adopted, they can serve to encourage cross sex hormone therapies and surgeries, we know such interventions cause harm. What these children really need is help in overcoming their disorder, not policies to protect their confused gender identity or identities, or that push them further and further into an opposite sex identity, putting them at risk for a large array of mental, social and physical problems throughout their lives

The Independent Expert on SOGI is seeking to implement so called ‘Comprehensive Sexuality Education ‘ (CSE) designed to indoctrinate children and mainstream ‘queer theory’ an unhealthy belief system that encourages children to disassociate from their biological sex in harmful ways. It should be noted that comprehensive sexuality education and sexual orientation and gender identity were specifically rejected from the 2030 Agenda by many UN Member States and that the establishment of SOGI experts mandate is a deliberate attempt to override the positions of States opposed to such and to coerce them into accepting SOGI rights.

This is a direct assault on the Sovereignty of UN Member Nation States and an abuse of the UN System. We denounce the Independent Expert on SOGIs most recent call to identify political and religious leaders worldwide who speak out publicaly against harmful and unscientific gender ideology
